TL;DR: Glimpse Vision AI turns your iPhone into a real time assistant that can see and talk. Point the camera at anything, ask out loud and hear the answer instantly. No typing, no menus, no friction. I designed and engineered it solo, and this is the thinking behind it.
Glimpse sees what your camera sees. Ask "what am I looking at" and it answers by voice, in the moment. A menu in another language, a plant you cannot name, a form you do not understand. Point, ask, hear the answer. It is live on the App Store.
The best interface for a camera assistant is the world itself. Every button I added in early prototypes made the app slower to use, because the real input is what you are looking at and the real output is a spoken answer. So the design brief became strange and wonderful: remove the interface until only the magic is left.
That is a harder design problem than it sounds. When there is no UI, the product lives or dies on response speed, on the quality of the first answer and on how gracefully it recovers when it mishears you. All the craft moves below the surface.
Everything I learned shipping Glimpse feeds back into my client work in AI product design. There is no substitute for building and shipping your own AI product end to end, from the first sketch to App Store review. My other app, AnimaEcho, explores the same real time voice technology from a completely different angle, companionship instead of utility.
An iPhone app that turns your camera into a real time AI assistant. Point it at anything, ask a question out loud and hear the answer instantly.
